The Early Years at MISY places an emphasis on gaining developmentally appropriate skills and habits. By making crafts, developing fine and gross motor skills, and playing games, children gain a foundational understanding of the world around them.

Children are encouraged to work independently and also in groups, so that they can develop their confidence, self-assurance, and social skills. The Nursery and Reception curriculum follows the English National Curriculum statutory skills and objectives.
